How big is your Bank Account?

Battery Capacity = the amount of money they start with in their bank account.

Power Consumption = the amount of money they are withdrawing every day.

Solar Production = the amount of money they deposit in the bank every day.

Example of an RV User:

A pair of Happy Glampers have an RV with: 2 x “Golf Cart Batteries” 6V 225AH each. Everyday they are using 75AH of power, spending $75. How many days until they are “broke”? If they add a 200W solar kit, now how many days until they are broke?

So – what have we learned here? If you don’t want to go “broke”, you can:

• Spend less (ie. use less power)
• Start with more money (ie. increasing your battery bank)
• OR, get a second job! (ie. add more solar panels = more earning power!)
